Handmade in Paris in 100% Peruvian cotton — the world's finest long-staple cotton, softer than merino, more breathable than most fabrics, and durable enough to become the piece your dog wears more than any other.

Why a cotton base layer matters

Most dog harnesses and coats — even from good brands — are made from acrylic, polyester, or blended synthetics. These fabrics trap heat, do not breathe, and rub against skin. On the belly, chest, and armpits, where friction is highest, sensitive dogs develop hotspots, chafing, and dermatological irritation over time.

“Le coton” sits between the harness and the skin the way a cotton undershirt does for us. Quiet, invisible, essential. Wearing it under a harness or an acrylic coat is not a fashion decision. It is a skin decision.

Why Peruvian cotton

Pima cotton is grown in the coastal valleys of Peru — the same land that produces the alpaca fibre we use for our knitwear. Its extra-long staple fibres make the fabric hypoallergenic, exceptionally soft, and remarkably durable. It is the cotton used for the finest bed linens in the world, and the only cotton we would trust against a dog's skin all day, every day.
