Size Guide
Every Colette et Gastón piece is sized to the body of the breed, not to a generic scale. Below are the measurements for our standard range and for our teckel-specific cuts, plus how to measure your dog, and breed-by-breed recommendations for coats and beds.
How to measure
- Neck — where the collar sits
- Chest — the widest point, just behind the front legs
- Back length — from the base of the collar to the base of the tail
If your dog falls between two sizes, choose the larger. For made-to-measure requests, write to us at bonjour@colettetgaston.com with your dog's three measurements and breed.

Teckel (dachshund) size chart
Our teckel and dachshund cuts are drafted from scratch on a long-bodied silhouette — not a standard pattern shortened. Proportions are correct from collar to tail, for standard and miniature dachshunds alike.
| Size | Type | Weight (kg) | Chest (cm) | Back (cm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Teckel XXS | Kaninchen Teckel | 2–3.5 | 28–33 | 34 |
| Teckel XS | Miniature, slim build | 3.5–5 | 33–37 | 37 |
| Teckel S | Miniature | 5–6.5 | 37–42 | 40 |
| Teckel M | Standard | 6.5–9 | 42–47 | 44 |
| Teckel L | Standard, fuller chest | 9–12 | 47–53 | 48 |
Raincoat sizing by breed
The coat should sit a little loose and comfortable — never snug.
| Size | Typical breed |
|---|---|
| XXS | Chihuahua |
| XS | Maltese |
| S | Poodle (toy/mini) |
| XS long / S long | Teckel / Dachshund |
| M | Bichon Frisé |
| L | Border Collie |
| XL | Dalmatian |
| XXL | Husky, Golden Retriever |
Leo bed sizing
| Size | Dimensions | Weight range | Typical breeds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Leo S | 52 × 52 × 22 cm | up to 8 kg | Chihuahua, Yorkshire, Miniature Teckel |
| Leo M | 72 × 72 × 24 cm | 8–20 kg | Cocker Spaniel, Beagle, Standard Teckel |
| Leo L | 90 × 90 × 24 cm | 20–35 kg | Labrador, Golden Retriever, Border Collie |
A dog should be able to lie fully stretched out inside the bed, with a little room to spare. If your dog sleeps curled rather than stretched, you can size down.
