Poodle Size Guide
Poodles — Toy, Miniature, Medium, and Standard — have a body proportion unlike most breeds: square-built, long-necked, and narrow-waisted. Our poodle cuts are drafted specifically for that silhouette, and the neck is treated as an independent measurement, not derived from the chest.
How to measure
- Neck — where the collar sits, at the base of the neck
- Chest — the widest point, just behind the front legs
- Back length — from the base of the collar to the base of the tail
A poodle's neck is proportionally finer than most breeds of the same chest size — always measure both. If your dog falls between two sizes, choose the larger.
