The Classic, drafted for the teckel — same silhouette, same considered construction, cut from scratch so the proportions read correctly from collar to tail. Double-breasted, with a front panel that has a slight flare so your dachshund moves freely while the coat keeps its elegant line, belted at the waist, with the harness opening concealed beneath a buttoned placket.

Composition

Shell: water-repellent technical fabric, unlined so the coat breathes, finished without PFCs. Silhouette: double-breasted, with a front panel that has a slight flare so your dachshund moves freely while the coat keeps its elegant line. Soft fabric belt tie. One integrated side pocket, sized for poop bags, a treat bag or a small toy. Clean stand-or-fold collar. Back: concealed vertical harness opening beneath a buttoned placket. Buttons: resin. Drafted on a long-bodied frame for the dachshund. Handmade in France in a numbered edition of 70 pieces per colour.

The Teckel Classic Trench is drafted exclusively for dachshunds — Kaninchen, Miniature, and Standard.

How to measure
· Back length — from the base of the collar to the base of the tail
· Chest — the widest point, just behind the front legs
· Neck — where the collar sits

If your dachshund falls between two sizes, choose the larger. A trench should sit with ease across the chest, not pull.

care & traceability

Care
Wipe clean with a damp cloth between wears. For deeper cleaning, hand-wash cold with a mild detergent — never use bleach or fabric softener, which strip the water-repellent finish. Rinse thoroughly. Lay flat to dry, away from direct sunlight or heat. Do not tumble dry. Do not iron the technical finish.

The water-repellent finish can be refreshed over time with a reproofing spray made for technical fabrics.

Store on a soft hanger or folded with the back flat.

The engraved brass label is finished with a heat-cured protective resin and will not tarnish, dull, or lift — even after machine washing.

Designed in Paris. Handmade in France, in our own atelier. The shell is a water-repellent technical fabric, finished without PFCs.
