The Classic Trench — Trench de Luxe pour Chien, Fabriqué à Paris

Shell: water-repellent technical fabric, unlined so the coat breathes. Buttons: horn-finished. Silhouette: double-breasted, épaulettes at the shoulder, soft fabric belt tie, two integrated side pockets, clean stand-or-fold collar. Back: concealed vertical harness opening beneath a buttoned placket. Handmade in Paris in a numbered edition of 70 pieces per colour.

The Classic Trench is sized by breed silhouette, not by weight alone.

Teckel cut — a dedicated pattern for dachshunds, drafted on a long-bodied frame so the proportions read correctly from collar to tail. Available in its own product page: The Teckel Classic Trench.

How to measure
· Back length — from the base of the collar to the base of the tail
· Chest — the widest point, just behind the front legs
· Neck — where the collar sits

If your dog falls between two sizes, choose the larger.

Care
Wipe clean with a damp cloth between wears. For deeper cleaning, hand-wash cold with a mild detergent — never use bleach or fabric softener, which strip the water-repellent finish. Rinse thoroughly. Lay flat to dry, away from direct sunlight or heat. Do not tumble dry. Do not iron the technical finish.

The water-repellent finish can be refreshed over time with a reproofing spray made for technical fabrics.

Store on a soft hanger or folded with the back flat.

The engraved brass label is finished with a heat-cured protective resin and will not tarnish, dull, or lift — even after machine washing.

Traceability
Designed in Paris. Handmade in France, in our own atelier. The shell is a water-repellent technical fabric, finished without PFCs. The horn-finished buttons are sourced from a heritage supplier.

Heirloom 26-27 capsule — 70 pieces per colour, numbered in the order they were made. The number is sewn into the inside placket — a quiet mark, for the person who notices.

Colette et Gastón works in small batches because the alternative is to make poorly.

Returns
14 days from delivery, in original condition. Items that have been worn or washed cannot be returned. Pre-order pieces are made to your size and are final sale — except for sizing issues, which we will exchange within 14 days of delivery.
