The Winter Set — Suéter y Balaclava de Alpaca Bebé

Yarn: 100% baby alpaca, both pieces. Stitch: cable knit, hand-loomed on manual flat looms. Sweater buttons: horn-finished. Construction: sweater with sleeves and ribbed cuffs; balaclava seamless. Hand-loomed and assembled in Huancayo, Peru.

The Winter Set is sized by sweater. The matching balaclava size is included automatically:

How to measure
· Back length — from the base of the collar to the base of the tail
· Chest — the widest point, just behind the front legs
· Neck — where the collar sits

Care
Hand-wash both pieces cold with a mild detergent designed for wool or fine fibres — never use regular detergent, which strips the natural oils from the alpaca. Soak for no more than 10 minutes. Rinse gently. Press the water out with a towel — do not wring or twist. Lay flat to dry, away from direct sunlight or heat. Reshape while damp.

Cared for this way, baby alpaca softens with every wash rather than pilling. The fibre is naturally hypoallergenic, breathable, and lanolin-free.

Store folded, not hung, with a piece of cedar to keep moths away.

Designed in Paris. Hand-loomed and assembled by our team of women artisans in Huancayo, Peru, at 4,200 metres above sea level.

Every piece is loomed on manual flat looms — machines operated entirely by hand, without electricity or automation — then assembled by hand: the pieces joined, the seams closed, the buttons sewn on one by one.

Colette et Gastón works in small batches because the alternative is to make poorly.

Returns
14 days from delivery, in original condition. Knitwear that has been washed cannot be returned. Sets returned must include both pieces.
